Glass replacement covers broken or cracked windows, doors, shopfronts and mirrors. Anderson Glass makes the opening safe first, measures the frame as it actually is, and replaces the pane in the correct make-up and thickness for that location under AS 1288 — not simply the thickness the old pane happened to be.
What it involves
A broken pane is rarely just a broken pane. The glass broke for a reason — impact, movement, or a make-up that was never right for the location — and replacing like-for-like can mean replacing it again.
Typical scope
- Emergency make-safe and board-up
- Window and door glass replacement
- Shopfront and entry glass
- Mirror and splashback replacement
- Upgrade to safety glass where required
- Insurance documentation and photos

What the glass can be.
| Option | When it is used |
|---|---|
| Standard float | Where the location does not require safety glass. |
| Toughened safety glass | Doors, side panels, low glass and wet areas. |
| Laminated safety glass | Where the pane must hold together — overhead, security, balustrades. |
| Obscure and textured | Privacy glass for bathrooms and street-facing windows. |
